chicken coop raider#2 gets leveled by the blitz

i knew there had to be more than one! staying up late manning the tripod in the window paid off .. we're clearing the threats lol .. this one was textbook, dropped like a sack of potatoes .. i did the humane thing and made it quicker for him .. dumped the whole mag in him ..

@dizzums Damn!! That one won’t be back to raid the coop. I’ve read many people say that air rifle rounds don’t create hydrostatic shock, but he was definitely in shock from the number of shots he took in that short period of time. After watching this I was about to say “how very Texas of you,” but you’re from Florida. Hey, close enough.

Seriously though, how’s the recoil in full auto? Is it difficult to prevent the muzzle from lifting and taking you off target? How many mags can you shoot off of a fill?

I have the 22 caliber and with full auto it's easy to stay on a 3" target for the full magazine at 50 yards.. at 30 yards probably cover everything with a quarter..
I can do 6 magazine on a full.. pretty stiff trigger pull..

theres no recoil to speak of, the muzzle doesnt lift, but ive noticed the 'chatter' from the bolt slamming back and forth makes for an interesting sensation to hold it on target .. takes some getting used to .. i never fill it to max, just under, and i generally put 4 - 21rd mags through it per fill, seems to be the sweet spot .. it will probably do 3 more, but with less reliability ..

yes, i worked on the trigger .. got it from about a 20lb pull to about probably 5-6, alot better .. it could probably be made even less but i didnt want to tempt fate and possibly make it not work right ...

so please tell me what you did to make your trigger better.. I don't have any way of measuring mine, but I had the side cover off and cleaned out all the lead dust? from the gear area and put some very high quality bearing grease on it and then I took the trigger group out and there was no lubricant on the hammer area, so I put some there too, and on the sear.. the hammer looks like it is a pretty rough machine finish and I was thinking I should pull the hammer someday and polish everything..
id sure be glad to hear what you did..
I'm able to shoot it pretty good and if my trigger finger gets tired I switch to the next finger and put the trigger finger against the side of the action.. got that idea from when I used to spend weeks welding 8 hours a day.. I have carpal tunnel and ulnar so I actually learned to weld with both hands and use either finger on either hand to trade off..

its mainly the sear area, both on the bolt and the trigger group piece .. its really a deep catch area, rough and sharp .. id polish everything up with that and take the bolt cut-out down to where theres no roughness, like a mirror and relieve the angle and roll the edge ever so slightly ....you can likely get it satisfactory with just that, theres a secondary sear and other trigger group parts i polished also but id say thats risky, especially in the trigger group .. the whole system in the blitz has to be pretty balanced or it can cause cycling issues ...
