, all was well until 4000 psi.. The sound changed and I walked over to it and was looking at it then Bang (crap my pants, parts flying.) !!Anyone got parts?? Piston was a few feet away and head units were next to it...
New and a Feebay clone.. Came upside-down.. Since I had to dismantle it, I received almost all my money back... Well time to try to find parts after I measure them..
The last photo is differently that the ones with the broken head. The last one has push to lock water tube fittings and the other ones has barb fitting. Do you have 2 comptressors?
Looks like a bad casting on the connecting rod or the low side cylinder.. Minimum I would need is a cylinder, low pressure piston, and connecting rod...
My yong heng is doing well so far. But I'm saving my pennies to buy an Omega Turbo. I'm not a huge fan of presurizing these tanks quickly. I'd rather have a pump that takes it's time to fill to pressure.
Hi Cosmic......I am glad you are ok......I have a YH on order, now you have me scared!!!!!! I was thinking could this been caused by oil detonated , extreme pressure......what type of oil did you use. Porkey
It is a reason to be respectful of the dangers of this.. Also I have a male fill nipple on my input of the tuxing filter so even if something happens it will stop the flow from the tank and the filter.. It was a casting problem of the connecting rod.. I only use royal purple... I am wondering if the clones are from factory parts seconds, or thirds..
I have got a genuine YH. No problem so far but every time I use it, I have a door separating me from the compressor to avoid being injured should it explode. For that reason I need the auto shut off feature because I am unable to monitor the pressure.
There has been another report about YH exploding in the same way and that was suspected to be due to the use of wrong lubricant that detonated under high pressure.
