On Chinese shopping websites, I noticed that the prices for compressors are only half or even lower compared to those in the United States, and the prices for 6.8L air cylinders are also lower than in the US. Has anyone bought these before? How is the quality?

Tons of members including myself have Yong heng compressors. Mine is at least 5yrs old. I've had to rebuild it a few times mostly if not entirely due to my own ignorance. But it still runs fine. Parts are cheap. Easy to work on. Just be aware of knock offs and look alikes. I would most likely buy from a seller with a lot of positive feedback on eBay. As for air cylinders.... yeah, I don't think I would trust those. Not to say they can't be. But let's say for instance the threads on the cylinder neck are slightly out of spec. Slightly can become a big issue at 4000psi. It's one thing for a compressor to fail. It's an entirely different thing for a pressure vessel to fail. I personally have a Scott 9L tank that used to be used by firemen

I would highly recommend against purchasing from a chinese site. Unless it's ali express. No way around it, Chinese business is disproportionately more scammy and dishonest compared to most other places. If there is a site you're looking at, post it here before buying and people will gladly investigate the legitimacy of it.

With few exception the compressors we are using in the USA all come from China.
They are all made by the same company with different labels.
There are a few US made compressors and they are easily identified by their prices.

You know Almost every bottle gun that I've seen has a Alsafe /Tuxing made in china bottle on it

I just received a nuoge basic non auto stop compressor from ali. It was $136 free shipping. I recieved it in 2 days. Shipped from their amazon warehouse here in states. Its been working fine the past couple days.

I was thinking of a Yong Heng compressor (mostly because of the extra water cooling ) . Thinking of I bought it from Walmart.com and had it shipped to store and paid for the extended warranty I would be totally covered at least for a few years. Any thoughts would be great.

I bought my Tuxing 032 compressor direct from Tuxing 2 years ago. After fixing some leaks it's functioned very well. I fill to 300 bar for my Huben k1. I have bought critical spares off Aliexpress for future repair that will no doubt come. I use Secolube 500 exclusively from the start. While it has an autoshutoff feature, I vent pressure beforehand as it's easier on the mechanics of the unit. When I did need warranty parts Tuxing was very responsive...understanding I was communicating with them at 1 0r 2 am.
Eyes wide open it's been a good performance unit when considering what I paid. No regrets.

I bought a ToAuto on the advice or "the shootenest". Haven't dared use it for fear it will break the first time. I do have to buy the parts so I can overhaul it when necessary. (notice I said when)

My Tuxing 032 has been fine, once I got the electronics replaced, have about 12 hrs on it, it refills my 70cf tank from 3000 to 4500 in about 20 min. The battery in the thermometer is dead and I need to get off my butt and change the oil with more SECO Lube..

I am more comfortable with my expired Scott airtank that was substantially less expensive than a new non-DOT rated tank made in China. I like my YH and my 4 chinese made airguns but I think airtanks do not "wear out" and I think the Scott tank is better made.

Can you have your tank hydro tested?
Even if it did start to fail, I heard it will lose air slowly.

I have been using my Acecare 3L and 6.8L for years with absolutely zero evidence of poor quality. They are awesome. Also they are certified in Europe CE certification I think it's called. Europes equivalent to our DOT. It's not like people from the EU are troglodytes. That is of course if one is not planning on getting it filled at a shop. My YH and the 2 bottles were a smart buy for me.

SCBA tanks made in China are just as well made and durable as any of the brands made in the U.S. These tanks are much better quality than economy priced Chinese compressors. There are 2 issues to consider before buying one. The first issue is few tanks made in China are DOT certified. The few that are cost as much with shipping as a U.S. made tank so no price savings on them. The second consideration is that 99.9% of Chinese SCBA tanks have M18*1.5 metric threaded necks. They are only compatible with Chinese made or higher priced European made fill valves. Chinese valves are not as high quality as their tanks. They are cheap to buy but not well made. They are harder to regulate for smooth air flow when filling a PCP. Don't buy a Chinese tank to save money unless you have your own private air source. Fire departments, paintball and dive shops won't fill them. Add the cost of a threaded adapter to the price of your Chinese tank if you want to use it with a better quality 7/8-14 U.S. spec fill valve. The required adapter is an M18*1.5 male to 7/8-14 female thread. Saber Tactical and other dealers sell them.
