Chinese scopes have upped their game in 10 years

Maybe 8 or ten years ago I needed a couple of cheap scopes. I ended up getting 3 Meullers. I had an f class 6.5x284 with a sightron 10x50
then bought a ftr class 308. The competition was using mainly nightforce but I was only dabbling in it. So I bought this 8x32 mueller which is still on the rifle( I sold the f class and sightron and haven’t shot 1000 yards in 6 or 8 years). I was serviceable but it looked like it was made from unfinished tubing you get at Home Depot.

So for only $50 more than that mueller was almost 8 years later I just received a new Athlon heras spr 6x24 sfp ( $300) What an improvement!
Ive had one Swarovski on my elk gun and through life mostly Leupolds. It may not be as finely finished and I haven’t looked through it
but it’s a hell of a lot of scope for the money , discounted of course. Seems rather heavy? I don’t have anything laying around to compare.

I've been very happy with the Chinese scopes I've have or used to have. I like Hawke Airmax, Athlon Midas Tac, SWFA, Optisan EVX, Vector Veyron,

I know someone will say I'm crazy, but I traded for a rifle a while back and when it arrived, it had a 4-16X CenterPoint mil dot scope on it and that thing is simply AMAZING. Good clicks, tracks well, clear as a bell. I was blown away, and it's a...what... $90 scope?

Then fast forward a year or so and I bought an airgun at a local auction with a Leupold 3-9XEFR on it, and I hated it. That scope went down the road immediately. If you had told me 20 years ago, that I would pitch a Leupold and keep a CP.....well, I'd have thought you lost your mind.
