Chipmunk at 51 yards with Atomic XR

Was sitting on my deck glassing. Lots of baby red squirrels, robins, gray squirrels, etc. Then I spotted this guy, ranged it at 51 yards, dialed two mil. One shot, DRT, sending Crosman Premier Domes, scope on 12x. The circle in the image is my shooting position. The Atomic XR is a wicked little pester.

Luis, great shot and nice pic! From the camera angle, it looks like a 100yd shot especially on such a tiny target!

Nice shot! I missed a gray squirrel at 20 yards a few weeks ago, right in front of my wife. Redeemed myself last night taking out a rabbit at 15yds. That is a long shot on a chipper.

@Ranchibi, I'm regularly hitting targets 1/2 the size at the same distance. It was in peril as soon as I put my dot on it. @tcarlson777, my furthest kill on a picket pinning chipper was 80 yards with my Gamo Urban.

@L.Leon with the accuracy I got with the Ranger XR 10.34 gr Heavy 50 yards at the range for sure makes me a believer in the platforms’ accuracy.

@Ghostranger169, thanks. The Crosman Premier Domes, have about 8 FPE at that distance, plenty for chipmunks.

@Blackpaw, though I can group with the Atomic, it's the accuracy on pests that is simply amazing me. I'm regularly hitting pieces of chalk the size of a chippers head out to my 64 yard shooting point. Even my misses while plinking would be kills on small pests... You're going to find your Atomic to be a superb pester/Hunter sub 60 yards.

@crittahitta, it's sending the Crosman Premiers at 725 FPS, close to 17 FPE at the muzzle and about 8 FPE at 50 yards.
