N/A Choosing a .30 cal

I am a new airgun shooter but have been shooting firearms for 45 years. I have an Airacuda Max in .22 and have enjoyed it so much I would like to add a .30 cal. for larger game. I am looking at the Umarex Gauntlet SL 30 and the JTS Brawn. Both get great reviews and I think either would work for me. My only hesitation is the lower air volume. Is there a quality .30 cal. with a bottle that could be upgraded for under $800? Thanks in advance.
I have the Umarex Gauntlet SL 30, had it about a month, really like it so far, very accurate, havent put a whole lot of rounds thru. it yet but it shoots very well, most of my shots so far have been 30 to 40 yards, been shooting around nickle to dime size groups, slugs, & pellets, will be shooting further soon, getting my range set up this week.

The SL 30 will take any bottle 62mm or less diameter. Right now that is 0.8L. The 60mm and larger mean you have to remove the forestock.

My G30 sports a 0.7L bottle with a Huben Power Cricket adjustable regulator.

Now if you want to get crazy, with a Huben Power Cricket drop block regulator you can put a 1.1L and possibly an Acecare long 2L bottle. You need a m18 to g1/2 adapter.

How do you like that huben regulator

I have two of the Dream Universal, 3 of Cricket Max-ATH, 2 Blackhawk Cricket and 1 Cricket Z-Valve.

I like all of them, a lot. Pricey buggers. But rock solid stable, set them and no drift.

The plenum on the Dream (20CC) and Max-ATH (50CC) make a difference especially on my semi auto rifles.

I also have 2 AliExpress knockoffs I bought before I learned about the real deal. To be honest they work the question being for how long.

Absolutely on the Gauntlet.
Some rifles do not benefit from them.
My G30 was good at 45 yards.
I put Terminador mega band on and it became excellent.

Oh so the Terminator band actually works. The one I got from Hajimoto didn't work so well.

Yea I was thinking about getting one and a 700cc bottle for my gauntlet. Hajimoto has one his site.

On mine the material is quite brittle and starts cracking if you tighten the screws more than finger tight. Granted it seems to hold at finger tight but you only find that after material begins cracking while using a Allen key or 1/4 bit and handle.

Please PM me your order number, email, or date of sale so I can determine the issue and correct this?. We use ABS and this is the first I have heard of cracking.

I went with a well cared for used gun. Still expensive but came with a scope ammo and accessories, for little less than the gun alone brand new.

It is currently more accurate than all of my guns including the Kidd custom 10/22.
