I am a new airgun shooter but have been shooting firearms for 45 years. I have an Airacuda Max in .22 and have enjoyed it so much I would like to add a .30 cal. for larger game. I am looking at the Umarex Gauntlet SL 30 and the JTS Brawn. Both get great reviews and I think either would work for me. My only hesitation is the lower air volume. Is there a quality .30 cal. with a bottle that could be upgraded for under $800? Thanks in advance.

There's the macavity arms .30, it's well priced, and youtube reviews seem to be good, but that's youtube. There really isn't a bottled .30 cal under $1200. The jts brawn is a bit over 10lbs without a scope or loaded magazine, and you don't get that many shots. But if you're not gonna shoot often it would be fine.

isn’t .30cal Airacuda being released in Dec.? If you like current set up just get what you know works.

The 30 cal m60b will drop a raccoons at 40 yards with zero issues. Dunno what game you're after, but it would work on yotes too.

I do enjoy shooting regularly so maybe the Brawn isn't such a good choice. That Macavity look really good, I am going to have to do more research on that but it is a really strong contender! thanks.

Yes but it is as long as the wall of china. Mine won't fit in the case I got it from without taking the grip and mod off, and stock collapsed lol.Am I in the twilight zone ??? The gauntlet .30 SL is a bottle gun for under 800

I agree the Gauntlet has a bottle but I don't see how it could be upgraded. I also agree that the Airacuda Max .30 was available at some point because I see them for sale on here, but if you try to buy a new one it says that they are slated to be available 12/05/2024Am I in the twilight zone ??? Most certainly upgradable
I’m guessing the December date is at pyramid air or airgun depot. They put that in there just as an estimate when they expect them to be back in stock. Not always accurate for sure.
