Chronograph

I and a friend both have the original FX pocket chronograph. We cannot get the unit to pare with our iPhones. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times (which has worked in the past) and turned the unit off and on but nothing works. I can get to the “device found” but it then continues “searching” but never pares with my phone. I’m beginning to wonder if this model is no longer supported by the current app. Any comments or suggestions?

What type of batteries are you using? Mine did all kinds of weird stuff until I started using the recommended Energizer Lithiums.

i bought fx v2 mini from pyramid,
it was the most painful product to use in my plinking experience period,
returned it,
and now I use pro chrono bt dlx,
this is half the price and 95% of the time it picks up the shot and sends it to my phone for my viewing pleasure!!!
the only downside is the 9v batteries…
This is what I use, solved the battery problem by using hi quality rechargeables.. very seldom does this chrony miss a shot.

Remember the early "Computer Days" when we would run out and buy the latest programs and equipment, and then they would a year or two later change the Operating System rendering most of them Useless? Could that be what is happening with Phone Software as well?
I think it's inevitable that it *will* happen with phone software. The operating systems are continuously being updated so the apps require occasional updates to continue working as well. Even the big corps aren't going to support their widgets forever... I don't buy anything that I can't use without an "app". If there's an app available, in addition to manual controls, that's fine, but if it needs the app to function I reject it.
