Anyone have any experience with the Caldwell...the one that can hook to your phone via an app

Yep, works. Not always with my Android tablet, but it's a fine machine with a cell phone.

Yup, I like it a LOT! In fact, I have 2 of them for measuring BC's over a single shot string. It was my #1 until I got a Lab Radar. Get the premium kit with the IR lights. You'll be glad you did!

I had the Shooting Chrony Beta before the Caldwell. The Calwell is a definite upgrade!

I got the Caldwell G2, the one with the bluetooth wireless. With chrono 35 yards down range(haven't tried longer ranges for the chrono bluetooth yet), the bluetooth remains connected to my iphone and I can view chrono readings, save groups, create new groups, etc... all from the app wirelessly while shooting with the chrono downrange at target.

I also use the Caldwell, seems to work well, can't complain



Update - 7-6-2018 - Went out on the 4th and used the chrony to setup my gun for heavier pellets. The Caldwell worked flawlessly. No missed readings, and I had the gun dialed in within a few minutes.

I think the secret was that I was working in full sun and I did have the sun shades on. Not sure if that makes a difference, but the setup really worked. I also bought the light kit, not sure how much it really works, but will try it later.

I got the basic model that connects to my cell phone via a cable. It works quite nicely, but it doesn't do well in day light shade. I plan to try mounting a couple LED 'puck' lights on the diffusion screens. Otherwise, it's great.
