About the attachment of the afore mentioned cheap chinese chrony (branded as ”Vikka” on Amazon), I did not like the metal clamp for 1) not fitting over big silencers and 2) chance of marring the finish of the gun used on, so I came up with this:

Use cloth (sports) tape over the bottom half, and use a piece of elastic strap with velcro. The first can be found at drugstores like CVS and Walgreens, and the latter can be found at hardwarestores. Use some small nuts and bolts to fix the elastic velcro strap to the chrony (fitting the holes already there).

Now you can easily fit the chrony to the gun by stretching the strap around the gun/silencer and fixating it with the velcro. Very easy to put on and remove, and it fits any silencer, nomatter how bulky.

Easy peasy!

Hey MartinT, is that a DonnyFL Ronin you have attached there? I have the same chrony and love it and a Ronin on the end of my FX Maverick sniper 30 cal. I took all the supporting U-bolt and V-shaped attachment parts off the chrony and just use paper masking tape to attach the chrony to the Ronin. It works great, but it's kind of a pain to make sure the barrel is properly aligned. If you have a Ronin on there with the hardward that insures proper alignment, then I'm gonna copy you. So is that a Ronin?

It’s a 40mm Huma.

Thanks MartinT. I think my 2" diameter Ronin might be better off being in contact with the bottom circuit board like I'm doing now. But eventually I'll figure out a way to attach it in a way that guarantees that I'm perfectly aligned and is quicker and easier than taping it on.

Alignment is only needed in the vertical plane right? (i.e. the pellet has to pass exactly in a line straight below the sensors), it does not need to be in the center of the square defined by the physical dimensions of the chrony, the sideposts and the bottom plate…

You are correct as far as I know. I thought I had sort of test-fitted my fat Ronin on the V-shaped alignment thing and it was putting the slug scary close to the sensors under the top circuit board. Hmmm... my memory kinda sucks, so I'm going to put the V-shaped thing back on and check again. Maybe your solution will work for me after all. I hope so. Thanks MartinT.
