Classic or Tactical? Which do you prefer and why?

I’m assuming that the original poster - NorthEast Airguns is asking a general question… and not specifically about the FX DRS…
My preference is for the rifle to have a “pistol grip” format stock vs. a “sporter” stock.
A pistol grip stock can be bullpup or full length rifle, wood or metal. It allows you to wrap your thumb around the grip vs. a sporter stock which does not.
For the type of shooting I do - mostly benchrest target shooting - I am much more comfortable with my thumb around the grip vs. on top of the grip for my trigger pull “style”.
Both Weihrauch with their HW100 & HW110 models and FX with their Dreamline model offer both “sporter” and “thumbhole” stock options. I think more manufacturers should consider this option as it has a more direct bearing on “fitting” the rifle to the shooter than simply how the rifle looks or its stock material.

I'm old,I don't like change, I don't care if the wood looks like @#$%, I prefer it over the tactical ( plastic,polymer hard straight lines and angles ) Yea yea I've heard it "But it can do this" and you can add that". But can it give you a sense of admiration,a sense of pride in owning it, a sense of pleasure in studying it. Does it draw your eye to it. There is nothing like a simple piece of sculpted wood, "every time".

I shoot in my backyard a lot so i avoid A.R. looking guns (tactical) that can tend to scare the bajeebies out of neighbors.
We know the difference but the neighbors don't.
Classic rifles and wood stocks look less imposing.
I have a 25 yard range in my backyard, it's all I have, and I'd hate to loose it because a bb gun frightens a neighbor.
Just not worth it for me.
That said, I do own an impact, but don't shoot it at home much.

love the loos of the classic wood stocks but I like the ability to accessorize so tackical win for me

That is how i feel about cars, really the ones they make today, even just vanilla cars but also sports - super - hyper cars, butt ugly in most cases.
If i get lotto money i am going to buy cars from back when they could make them good looking, only modern car i would buy would be my EDD one, but as that would be one of the armoured military vehicles, not exactly good looking either, but i would be able to drive everywhere in my little country, something that could be silly / dangerous for me to do in a regular car due to the tone of my skin.
