Classified Ads You Waited and LOST On

Curious as to what some of your missed opportunities have been here. I check the classifieds daily unless I'm on a trip and have had a few items that have slipped through my fingers due to me waiting, procrastinating or just not being fast enough.

Three that come to mind.
1. An early BSA Lightning. I'm not sure why, but I've always loved the look of them. Saw one and pondered... and it was gone.
2. AirMax Katran in .177. I looked and looked at it. Just didnt have a need for it and still dont, but dang it was purdy.
3. A Texan 308 in white cam that I missed. I'll blame it on Helene as during the blackout, I decided if it was still available when I got internet back, I'd get it...but it wasnt. Another 'dont need it', but wanted it.

There is another gun right now that I've eyeballed in the classifieds that I typed up a msg to the seller twice now and didnt hit send. I just dont need it and cant justify it.

What are some that yall have missed out on that are memorable?

Fortunately none. But I did scan the classifieds for a year or so for a Brocock. I had that gun in my cart every time I was on AOA’s sight years ago, even if I was just ordering pellets. But I never bought it. Finally, like a dream, a beautiful one popped up in the classifieds. As I sat there debating if the price was realistic or not something dawned on me. If I didn’t buy a new one years ago, why do I want a used one now. So I passed.

I seem to spend much more money on gunbroker.com than in the various classifieds on the forums. Like today a couple somewhat rare and gorgeous British pcp air guns and a Korean pcp pistol. Lost 3 others I was bidding on. One was for a type of rifle I purchased on American Airguns Classified for much less than that one sold for and the other two were of the I'll take them if you let me bids.

I've resisted the urge to check Gunbroker for airguns. That's all I need is another outlet for this sickness!!!
I got the bug when i dropped a bid on an .30 Evanix Sniper X2 and then forgot about it. Until a week or so later when I got an email telling me I won. I like auctions just have to be careful and not get caught up in the bidding and pay too much.

Today was a very good day, A.H Hartley Stalker in .22, gorgeous rifle, a Falcon Hawk FN-19HT .22, just as gorgeous and a Duk Il Arms AR6 Hunting Master .22 pistol.

They are damn near works of art. I'll be afraid of shooting them given my fumble fingers.

I love the classifieds. I check it more than anything else on here. I've missed so many I can't remember them all. One of the best things about AGN. I was on HAM website and they are charging to post on the classifieds. Never going to get off the ground. What's funny is that all their people post here on the classifieds. They are missing out on a lot of traffic.

Allow me to offer some clarification, please @Jlowe
HAM is charging what they call HAM points to run a classified ad.
There is no money involved
The points are earned by participation in the forum. (signing in, posting, etc)
They have no $ value & cannot be traded or given away
This is part of a security scheme to keep scammers at bay

I really wanted a specific rifle and saw it in the caliber I wanted. I mused over it for a few days and gone . I find the same gun in different caliber but that one was sold too ..however that same guy recieved the first rifle I mentioned in trade … so low and behold I got the original gun I was so interested in from this man. Cool things happened that day

An Uragan Compact Carbon Fiber .177 with the compact rail. Had been on the classifieds for nearly a month, or so it felt like. When I finally messaged the seller, he had sold it the night prior. To say I was crushed is putting it lightly lol.

Same goes for the Katran sc in .177 with the blue wood accents
The .177 with the blue is the one I was referring to as well. Seems we both missed that one!

Part of the security to keep scammers at bay? It seems it is keeping everyone at bay. No one wants to use it. They all come on here and use the classified on AGN. I used it one time on HAM, but it will never happen again. I tried to tell the owner it was a bad idea, but apparently he only listens to those who never buy, sell or trade, and live in an extreme state of paranoia.
