Close call.. be careful with air!!!

@Bigragu I certainly tried to be clear it wasn't the Hatsan compressor fitting that blew up. Saying that, I am having serious issues with the compressor as well... mostly in the starting of the thing. It just won't start 3 out of 4 times I try and turn it on, We will see what HatsanUSA will do as I have requested a return.

Titan, when trying to start the compressor, you are meaning the depressing of the actual compressor button is not turning it on, correct? The main switch to actually turn the entire compressor unit on comes from the coolant switch. Once that is on and the voice says all systems are good, then the compressor button is now ready to turn on.

The other day I found out a quirk on the system. I was target shooting with my Bully, and would perform top offs to the gun from my Airhog tank. Looking ahead, I plugged in my compressor(but did not turn on cooling switch) figuring in about two hours when I was done shooting I would top off my tank.

So, shooting is all done, I turned on the cooling switch, let it run for around 15 seconds, then when I tried turning the compressor on it would not start up. I quickly turned it off(compressor) and then that voice came on saying all is good to go. Turned the switch back on and compressor starts.

so, what I learned from this is to plug it in and do the start up thing at the time I’m ready for it. That voice coming on, if you don’t hear it telling you all is good, that compressor isn’t budging.

sorry for the long reply. I’m hoping that maybe something I mentioned may spark something you maybe had forgotten or maybe did as I did.

@Bigragu Yes, mine is the same. I actually keep mine plugged in for the most part, but I have done the same process as you and noticed the same result. However, even when I disconnect the power, plug it back in, then hear the voice... I start the coolant system, let it run for a several seconds and then try and turn on the compressor, it either goes for a split second and stops, or it resets on its own and i hear the voice again.. then I try the main compressor switch again and nothing.. off and back on several times and it will eventually start. Its like something is stuck or something. I have asked for a return and have heard nothing from Hatsan. If they could tell me what is wrong with it and send me a new part, I would be happy to have this compressor working perfectly, but for almost 1500 bucks, I don't think I have a properly working product.

They said it was because I needed to recalibrate the zero pressure check... I didn't agree and with the broken parts, the bent shrowd, the thing not turning on 3/4 of the time, I guess they felt that was enough and sent me an RMA. They have actually been really good about getting back to me after I carpet bombed them on email, form on website, and facebook. We will see where it ends up.
