I noticed today that my cocking side lever on my .30 700 mm Impact is jumping open some when shot.. Any ideas ?

If you have a large cocking handle that weighs more than stock, that is likely the cause.
My fix was to buy a couple of small earth magnets, that are about 1/16" thick x 1/4" diameter, (they have square too) each and put them on the cocking handles mechanism arm. That way they attract to the 'inner' part of the mechanism, and it stays closed without affecting the cocking/closing at all.

The rubber ball is missing from the front of the reloading block or you have a bent pin at the block.
I haven't looked at one in a long time so my memory is a little fuzzy.

Yes, I have encountered both and hopefully you didn’t bend your pin under the cocking block.
You can still have your rubber ball in place, but if it is worn/flattened it will still cause the same symptom.

Airmarksman back bone that's thicker has a detent in it for the cocking handle if you find the other things aren't the problem bent pin or rubber ball doesn't fix it

I was complaining about this somewhere last year, that the ST kit when they designed they could just "make it" better, but no. My problem was the handle hitting hard into the block. So this was my solution, 2 rubber balls and a stopper:

I had the pin break in the reloading block, and it had nowhere to go so it was still stuck in there and the cocking lever still working but there was a lot of slop in the connection so that the cocking lever would not push the reloading block far enough forward to hit the rubber ball hard enough, so the cocking lever would swing out really easy.

either get a new ball or place a tiny bit of o ring behind the ball to help push it forward some

Front pin on the cocking block is bent a bit toward the muzzle. I can see no deformation of the rubber ball.. Purchased last March of 21..

Someone pulled the trigger with the cocking handle back. That’s pretty much the only way that’ll happen.
What happens is this- trigger is pulled with cocking arm open, cocking block slams forward bending the pin back towards the rear. What now arises is trouble catching the trigger sear due to the bent pin when re cocking the gun. The unknowing will pull back as hard as he/she can, trying to get the sear to catch, so now the pin gets bent forward.
All speculation of course, but the bottom line is, someone pulled the trigger with the cocking handle all the way back.
Hopefully the cocking block hole that accepts the pin isn’t wallowed out, or even the hole in the cocking linkage connected to the pin.
The good news is, replacement blocks and pins are available thru FXUSA, or now you have an excuse to upgrade to the M3 cocking assembly!

Have a new cocking block coming.. I must have done it myself since I purchased it new !! The cocking pin is not bent but the cocking block itself, the hole is wallowed out.. Not upgrading as I have a external regulator tank setup . No FX M3 power block , because I can do what I want for speed..

I have the same issue with mine, I was showing my nephew how to shoot and the accidentally pulled the trigger with the cocking handle open.Any help would be much appreciated

This thread's solution was replacing the cocking pin and/or block, although you could possibly repair either yourself if you're equipped.

It Also affected the trigger,how involved is the replacement of the cocking block,I haven't been able to find much information on doing this procedure I also want to thank you for help.

I decided to replace the cocking block with the sabre tactical one, when I removed the original one I saw that it was undamaged the ball was there the pin was not damaged so I can't really know what was causing the trigger to react that way as if the pin was bent.
