I like these guns. I zeroed them at 25 yards, I didn't shoot any clean targets afterward so I'm not posting the targets I zeroed.

What's the consensus on Cometa gas rams? I know Hatsans have a reputation for early failure and Crosmans are said to be more reliable. Anyone have any long term experience with Cometas?

The walnut is 177 and 16 ft lbs and the laminate is 22 at 18 ft lbs.

I may have posted about this on Air Gun Nation before, but I'll repeat: I have an older RWS 94 in .22, which is a coil spring Cometa 400 in RWS badging. It is a true standout. For many years it was my absolute favorite. Over time, I have acquired some truly excellent springers, and I can't say that it's my best. It may still be my favorite though.

John at Keystone is selling very good stuff and I'm looking forward to buying a modernized, gas ram version of my 94 from him. Maybe that will be my best rifle!

I got them zeroed. It will be Sunday before I get a chance to shoot again.

The RWS has a much nicer stock. Apparently RWS wasn't going for the slash cut forearm. I'm not either. I almost bought the RWS before. But haven't, probably because I have too many already

I'm guessing that the 94 was considered "close enough" in resemblance to a German rifle with that stock, that it worked for RWS.
