Coming back to Airguns after a couple years off.

I am trying to get back to Airguns. My passion is Field Target.
I used to have a large garage so I could shoot 35 yards year round indoors. And out to 100 yards if I open the door. And an outdoor field target lane marked out in my yard.
I went through 150-300 pellets a day and shot with the group once a month.
I went to the 2015 US nationals . Then I moved into a small house with one car garage in Iowa.
I tried to find other shooters and tried to keep up with it. But not shooting in my own yard put a damper on things.
I tried driving to the nearest FT club but that is three hours of driving .

I had to give up.

Now five years later I am trying to get back. I have met a couple people that might be interested in field target.

And I have secured a farm for practice. A friend said I can use it to practice. The farm has 300 acres of corn and a bunch of old out buildings. So Saturday I am packing my stuff and going out to test fire and crony my new Diana 48 and shoot some targets.
I’ll get some photos. The place is only ten minutes drive from home.

I hope it works out. Currently there is an RC racetrack in what used to be a corral. And the RC club uses the area every other Sunday for racing in the summer. My ultimate goal is to rent the place on the off weekends and have Field target competitions. Start a club get insurance the whole bit. I have all of that in place except for one thing. People. I hope by going there and brining one or two people to try it. Maybe it can grow. In the meantime I can shoot my beautiful springers

Luck you!
I started with zero peeps in my immediate area and no land to shoot on.
One foot in front of the other!

Ahhh, springers. . . my passion indeed. I shoot my TX200 & HW97K at the range where I live. Welcome back into the fold. Orv.

Well this is nice.

I have a tuned Tx200 and the scope is good out to 35-40 yards. Then the price point shows up and I can’t range find as well as the gun can shoot from 35-55 yards. Fifty is just as clear as forty five.
I have always wanted a good scope and a fancy laminated stock with a cheek riser and hamster.

Now I suddenly have money from selling some old tools I will never use and did not expect to ever sell. It’s like free money and a big space in the garage. So I can spend over a grand on a scope.
What to get?

And the nagging question. Should I get an HFT 500 FT ,scope and compressor?

I want one. I can afford it .

I don’t really have a great place to shoot it or anyone to shoot with. But I’m working on that. I have no reason to get one. But if I put a scope and a stock on my TX it’s 1500 bucks and for another 1500 I can go with the HFT get the cheek riser and hamster. Something I always wanted for the TX.

Now I’m hesitant to get the scope or do anything. It’s a good problem I appreciate having. I feel blessed.
