Chinese scopes have improved so much that I have a Vector continental and all the Discovery ED scopes except the LPVO, which I hate cuz the parallax is 100yards. All of them are on my PRS 6.5 CM, 6 GT and 7 SAUM gas guns. So working on my cz 22's, I wanted a new scope for the son's cz 457 scout with 13 inch CF barrel, which had a cheap Ohhunt scope from amazon few years ago 3-9x32 AO. It looked too much like a toy and it had no scope caps. (see pic scope on black box). Anyways doing some research on Ohhunt I noticed their new scopes look pretty nice. I did not want to spend a lot on a company I don't know much so I just bought from amazon the new version of the same scope. (they also have a 2.75-15x32 but you have to buy from china on their website) OMG was I surprised when I opened the box. First it had a hefty feel, the eye piece looked like a scope that cost 10x as much as I only paid $75.oo this is amazing scope. The clarity, I wish I can describe but their website says HD and it is very clear. The parallax goes to 5 yards and its illuminated and its side focus not AO and 30mm tube instead of 1 inch. The turrets have good clicks 8/10. The only issue is that I got the 3-9x32 instead of the 2.75-15x32. The other impressive thing is that the do not put their name OHHUNT on the scope instead their label is on the battery cover. (see pic) This way when you go to the range people with fancy scopes don't make fun of you. I should have bought the second but I did not know it would be this good. Also I already ordered another awesome compact scope a Nikko Stirling Diamond line FFP 34mm tube 4-16x44 its compact and illuminated see specs:

This Nikko is also an awesome scope that I plan to put on my 10/22 cause at the moment it has a discovery compact 3-12x44 (see pic) its ok but the Nikko is even better plus its also very cheap around $400.
Finally @steve123 is correct. The Athlon BTR gen 2 2-12x42 is an awesome scope. Its supposed to be compact but its a bit long and also the rear part of tube is much longer than front. It gives a unique look. I put that on my awesome cz 457 precision varmint MTR. (see pic). I put the mount on the Athlon where it is so the 22 cases are ejected without issues.
All these scopes are compact, Chinese made, great price, clear and most important parallax 5 yards to infinity, the Ohhunt, the others are 10 yards. You won't find any videos on youtube about the Ohhunt but if this new scope from their line is this good, I may look at the other lines they have. But these are a few compact scopes to look at.
