Competition shooting book recommendations

You named my favorite two books. With winning in mind is superb.

I like "Overcome" by Jason Redman. Not specifically related to shooting, but mental toughness. Really a key element for any competitive shooter. Resilience will do a lot for you when you aren't having a great day on the line.

IMO a good training journal is essential to keep yourself realistic and honest. Creedmoor puts out a really nice "official" one but any old notebook or planner will work.

Best teacher is HANDS ON shooting with a tooter by your side ( One who knows what there doing and sharing it with you )
Can only speak of Air Rifle Field Target .... in this game you will find Many many folks willing to help you as well teach you some of the basic to the finer details on the journey to being a more rounded shooter.

As a club match director I've worked with many on there game skills. What Type Shooting your doing, Physical condition and aids / optics etc permitted / allowed all contribute to how one best makes the most of there acquired skill set while noted weaknesses & addressing them over time.

Textbook reading only gives basic understanding, applying it and getting hands on correction is Priceless !!
Find a Club & Join them once in a while if you can.
