I had a very slow fill issue with my GX CS4 taking more than 3 times as long to fill. When it got to around 2,000 PSI it was sucking canal water and struggling to the intended fill. I was about to give up troubleshooting it and after contacting GX customer service they replied back with a few instructions to correct my issue. And, it worked like a charm I am now filling faster than my original deadhead tests when I received the compressor. This is what GX responded to me with and I encourage you to also try these steps.Unfortunately, I have joined the ranks of a poorly running CS4. Got about 4 good hours out of it, now it won't go above 2350 PSI. I seems to load up and barely run the piston? in the compressor before it turns itself off. Has anyone ever gotten/found a manual for these things?
GX representative response to me via email:
"1) Hello please check if there is leaking carefully first. Include whole hose, bleed valve, burst disc and so on. It mainly was caused by leaking. It is easy to fix. keep the bleed valve tighten, watch pressure gauge and if it drops quickly? then it means it's leaking.
2) If there aren't any air leaks, another possibility, see if compressor runs hard when reaching to 200 Bar or 3,000 PSI? if yes, follow this video to run it for about 1 hour.
you can connect test plug, keep bleed valve tighten, excess grease or dirty will come out from check valve (under burst disc )
3) If still can not solve, water washing , follow this This should surely can solve the problem."
Step 3 above is what corrected my performance issues. Good luck.
