Compressor to get for "lightweight" use

Had a CS3 which I've just returned. Ran 4-5 times. Filled a Gauntlet from 0 to 3000psi. Supposed to get to 4500psi, no matter what, auto shutoff at 3000psi. Could not fill Akela from 2500 to 3000psi. Contacted mfg (no support from Amazon seller), and they wanted me to disassemble (brand new unit) and take a shutoff wire from the gauge to test the gauge. Filled out return info 5 min after that.

So I need something that will handle up to 4500psi (future "growth"). Light use, these are target/plinking/small varmint use - I'm not filling bottles, and not shooting hundreds of shots when I shoot. Shooting once or twice a month.

What can be recommended in the $400-500 range (or less), that will last a few years for this purpose? And, if possible, post links to your suggestion(s)

I’d look for used Omega pro charger. The trick to home compressors is to insure they’re rebuildable. I don’t care what unit you have. If used, they all wear out. There’s something about 4500 psi that just wear things out.

Omega which is Chinese made has a great technical support. The compressor is fully rebuildable.
Unfortunately does not fit my budget. While other units are not "rebuildable" for the $400 price tag I can by about five of those for the price of 1 new Omega. Don't like that approach, but money is money. Can't find a listing for the Omega Pro, much less a used one.

Gx cs2. Not auto shutoff garbage. Barely over $200. I run 1 min on 2min off with fans running and it never gets hot. May take a bit longer on bigger bottles 500cc at 300bar, but I only fill to 4000psi about 270-275 bar. And for sure rebuildable.
If you have a link to buy one for that, or even under $300, I'd like to see it. Cheapest I see is $350, from same seller I purchased the CS3 from :(

I just bought a CS2 on Amazon for $279 and it fills my Avenger to about 4000 psi and then the relief valve on the compressor opens. These budget import machines have a mediocre level of factory quality control. If you need to have it work without tinkering on your part you at least need to buy it from a dealer who you know upfront will fix it for you and you will likely need to deal with the shipping etc. if that is not what you want you are going to need to move well up the price scale and buy from a dealer who will check it out before shipping, likely for a fee, as Pyramid offers to check new guns for leaks before shipping.

Seem to be decent reviews on the Rovair (Air Venturi RovAir 4500 Portable Compressor) that Pyramyd sells. Talked to them, they say they have parts and can service. I'm leery of across the board 5 star reviews, but thats what it has. Also a little more than I'd like to spend (I'm sure Pyramyd has it "jacked" up) - but if it works...

Anyone with experience on that unit?

I got my CS2 on Prime Day sale, today they are listed as in stock for $315 and then a $20 off coupon netting a $295 final price. Delivery is early next week and it is returnable at no charge, so if you get a pumpkin just rotate it out. The free return thing let’s me buy from Amazon and not worry I have made a mistake.
Mmmmm.... Wonder if Amazon is up to their "pricing wars"?

Saw this before I got the CS3 - same price of $350 a month ago. Hasn't changed since then... Do you have a link that shows the $315?

1st off,  ANY " inexpensive compressor on the market, though rated to 4500psi, should never be pushed to that limit if you're looking for longevity/dependability. It just makes them work too damn hard for the last couple hundred lbs of pressure. Secondly, even if a gun's reservoir is rated to "X" amount of pressure doesn't mean it works efficiently at "X" amount of pressure. Most people trying to fill everything to the rated MAX pressure are the ones seemingly having the most problems with air equipment. The trick with airguns & related equipment seems to be to find PEAK EFFICIENCY rather than blindly going for MAXIMUM RATING on everything! (Try a Yong Heng!)

Precisely why I want 50% rated "overcapacity". Rifles are 3000psi rated, and just settling for a 3000psi pump does the same thing. Don't know that I will EVER go to a 4500psi rifle - but having a 50% rating over what I need should help.

If you think that amazon shows the same price to everyone, or even you over a couple weeks (logged in or not) - I've got a bridge to sell - cheap, only used on Sundays by little old ladies...

Was hoping something in the link you all are seeing would actually show me that price too...

I'm not a prime member, I just schedule purchases/deliveries to get free shipping. And even to get the $20 off I have to be a prime member...
