Compressor??

Does anyone have any insight on which one of these compressors would serve me best? I usually only top off my rifles but topping off a 45min scuba would be a major plus. Thanks.

I think, by searching here on AGN you will find that members have had good and bad experiences with all of them and other models you didn’t mention.
And from reading them over the past two years or so none of the three you mentioned stand out as consistent lemons or bad choices.
High pressure air or any gas compressing is demanding on equipment.
Following a strict on and off periods is key and following very closely to not turn the compressor on when there is pressure against the pump is critical. In other words, assure you followed the bleeding procedure before starting.
A lot of members recommend buying from vendors that offer a good warranty.
I have an Alkin and don’t take anything for granted with it. I follow start up and bleeding procedures religiously with a timer as I sit and fill and listen to the compressor for any new or unusual sounds.
I know it doesn’t help towards a specific model to choose but I believe if any one of the three were a “definitely do not buy” model, it would have been mentioned on this forum.

The CS4 is a very capable 4 stage compressor. The motor runs slowly, but the pump really stacks up the psi. FTR I have both the CS3 and the CS4 (and a YH)

In a head to head, the CS4 pumped to 3kpsi in under 50 seconds. The CS3 sounds like it is running faster, it needed 1:45 to reach 3kpsi into the same gauge.

The liquid coolant is a closed system (like the Omega) and the duty cycle (run time) is a whopping 5hrs continuous.

To be fair, I have zero experience with the Omega or the Hill. I do have 3-4 years experience with the CS pumps.

Yes!! I’ve had one for 2 yrs. The Aircharger is built like a tank. It’s not as fast as the smaller blue, louder units, but it just keeps going. You have to clean the check valve about every 2-3 hrs use. I also just purchased A GX CS-4. It’s the Aircharger’s little brother. Only 1 hour on it so far. Bothe are quiet, but the CS-4 is definitely more portable…😝 Great units indeed!

I've had 3 Vevors, first orange one lasted about 3 months. Second small blue (sub $200) lasted 14 months, the second orange one which was a replacement for #1, I pulled out of the box was DOA, will not pressurize. Thinking of moving up to GX this time because of Forge, or continue super cheap blue Vevor through Walmart and purchase the warranty, turn them over yearly. Unless you're spending $1k up there is junk and better Chinese junk. IMHO

I don't know what Chinese made products you are referring to but I like my 4 Chinese made PCPs and my Chinese made YH. Out of all of them the only one with a reasonable owners manual is the Avenger, however. My P35 in 22 has higher scores on the 30 yard challenge than many guns that cost several times it's price. My YH is working great and has for a couple years now. It tops off my 45 minute SCBA tank from ~3300 to ~300 bar in 15-20 minutes. I certainly would not claim Chinese made products are perfect but the one's I've tried have been very useful and good buys.

Read the post slowly, I clearly IDd the compressor names. YH, needs to update thei line, they’re falling behind. Never mentioned an airgun. But I do own an Avenger and Notos and I’m happy with both.

For a couple more bucks you can have a real compressor that will fill your SCBA tanks... Team Centercut has one of these that we bring to the bigger tournaments, and it just quietly tops off the SCBA tanks that we have, about 20 minutes from 200 to 310 bar.

Looks like $800 + more to me. That’s a lot to “top off”. But you are correct it is nice!

I have the Omega trail and IT IS ONLY FOR TOPING OFF GUN'S . not even small tanks like the Guppy . Say's so in the booklet .
ALL my PCP's are tube air not like FX tank guns . Omega going on three years but again only top off tube guns .
I was considering the same Omega compressor due to price, but damn, didn't think it'd have a problem with my small 98 cu in guppy tank...Is that just due to the model itself, or are all compressors around the same price point the same? Like for example a Nomad 2...
