Concord Ca FT Match 1/19/2025

Hard to type "2025" but it's also hard to put all those zero's after the number 7 when going to Taco Bell... we had a foggy start to our valley shoot at United Sportsmen today.
We took our time setting up as the range needed to clear a little before we felt we could start projecting pellets down the 200 yard range.
Started practicing on the far right only where we could insure there was a protective berm and were able to see far enough to ensure we had a safe venue to shoot our match.
The usual crew came out to shoot today and everyone seemed to be trying something a little new: a FT pistol, a Taipan with a 5X optic, a new rifle here and there- it was a great day for experimentation with minimal winds to influence our fun!
The sun came out eventually but the winds didn't follow, thank gosh.
The scores reflect the consistency of the conditions- today was one of the memorable ones!

Indeed, a fun day and ideal conditions for some to put mano-a-mano FT competition aside and try something new. Thanks for another enjoyable day of FT.

Hi all. Looks like a lot of fun. Is the event still open to all? Any membership or sign up needed? I joined the forum back in ‘21 and (new to airguns then) was looking at these events to participate in however life took over. Hoping to get back/ continue where I left off. Happy shooting.

You do not have to be a member to shoot but…
For FT it is $10.00 for members, $15.00 for non-members.
The club (There are five actually in United Sportsmen) sells a VIP card or $250.00 per year.
If you have that card, FT is $5.00.
In addition to FT, Diablo has a monthly Silhouette match with the same fees.
Every Wednesday and Friday is airgun funday.
Bring what you shoot in the morning with .22lr in the afternoons.
Same fees but, if you shoot in the morning you do not pay for the afternoon.
Starting this Friday and every fourth Friday of the month through May, our 10M indoor matches commence.
The fees here are a bit different and are based on the number of matches you wish to shoot.
One more bonus>
During FT matches and on airgun fundays, free tank fills for members..

The club dues are $25.00 per year.
$5.00 for your spouse or significant other.
Note: There are monthly socials where free food and drink are provided so the membership fee is basically a wash..
