I am still playing with the .25 condor, I feel that I have strengthened the frame. The Wokguard is a fine start adding the full bridge in the weak area. Tactical rail is another bridge even though AF has added the 3 rd scope rail post. I have the wider barrel bushing and added 2 more and still allows the barrel to flex as it should. An over kill was adding the extra tactical rail to the forward frame barrel hosing rail.
Prior to and during the mods I did make a fully bedded full stock. I liked the feel of the stock and the work of fully bedding did do its job.The stock supported the bottle well. Adding the rubber bumpers to the rear V area helps the mottle movement and absorbs any recoil. In .25 I did notice the frame flex where a in the .20 I did not.
For testing I removed the FANG stock and went back to the factor furniture other than the UTG pistol grip. I like the set back and grip of these grips plus with the Wokguard take an AR 15 GRIP. The removal of the stock took weight off the build. Not that matters for a bench gun. My Condor dress even as it is now is a heavy gun. TT full shroud doe its job.
I went down the slug road. Bought a new barrel and cut the choke out of it and put an 11 degree crown on it. Played a little with the slugs but realized that I was not going thru all the things I have done before on finding the correct size and more was not worth it for my needs. But this barrel shoot pellets as well as my choked barrel. So sold the non choked barrel and went back to pellets.
After looking at other ways and products offered for attempting to stablize the bottle and help in the rear butt pad I came up with a mod that seems to work. It is a rigid constructed out of aluminum and the attachment is real simple. Being the UTG GRIP HAS A COMPARTMENT WITH A SLIDING grip cap I used that area for and attachment. The other end attaches to the bottle clamp. In the picture the rear is not yet attached.
I have an older plain Talon that I have build into a 24" .20. Enjoying this build very much. Here I have learned about the many valves that have been used over the years and do see the changes over the years to these guns. On this project I have gathers many extra used parts and in the end will have enough to build another TalonSS with a 18" barrel in .22. I do have a new .22 24" barrel I could use but the ideal is to sell this build to help fund the .20 project.
The AF guns have really taken me by surprise with the design. AF guns never really were of any interest during my deep DARKSIDE adventure. RAW, FLEX, Theoben, Daystate, Marauders and EVANIX were my main guns of choice.
Attached is just a few PCP guns I had at one time plus the picture does not include all I had at that time. Yet all these have moved on to new homes.
