Confused about FX liners

I have a FX Dreamline Compact in 22 (new model with plenum and narrow shroud) I have wanted to play with 25 cal luckily found the 25 cal barrel kit with 600mm superior liner. Well unfortunately there are no 25 cal pellets available except Hatsan Vortex on Amazon so played with those a bit.

I then bought a 600mm superior barrel liner in 22 thinking it would fit right the 25 cal shroud, but no go, evidently barrel liners can only by changed for same caliber kits.

Live and learn I guess.

Yes the parts are caliber specific, if you have the .22 parts like this just swap them around.

The shroud is the same between the .177, 22, 25 and 30 at least. The barrel housing (beneath shroud) is also the same other than length 500, 600, 700 etc.

So if you have a .22 parts from the gun you bought why can't you fit the .22 liner? You need a good amount of heat to remove the parts I sent a link to, liner lock and the connector piece that screws into the barrel house. Little propane torch or heat gun will do the trick, apply heat till it starts to smoke and they should release.

But maybe there's a new shroud I don't know about.
