So, I'm 63 and not real social as in I don't do a lot of commenting or posting I just read the forum posts and classifieds. I have only been a member of the site for a few weeks now and as I said, I haven't really posted anything. I found a bottle for an FX airgun which I have been looking for since I have a Panthera Hunter and wanted to ask a few questions and possibly purchase it. However I get a notification that I must have a minimum of 10 posts and a minimum of 10 days of activity. I'm not really sure what that means? 10 posts of things for sale? 10 posts of just discussion? I have no idea what "posts" I need to be working towards not that the bottle I found won't likely be sold by then anyway. And 10 days of activity? Does that mean just browsing? Being a member of? I again am not quite sure what it is I need to do. Like I said I'm 63 and not real active on the internet so I'm kind of dumb when it comes to all this stuff. So any guidance as to what it is I need to do would be appreciated. I also have a friend who is worse than me, he doesn't have the internet but saw some things on here when I was looking at the classifieds and he had interest but I told him I would need to figure out what it is I need to do before I can help him out. It means you have to engage with others on the forum….ask questions, comment on things you like,or that interest you. Share some of your experience/s knowledge, or thoughts. It’s a means for the forum to weed out the chaff. Good Luck…nice to see a “new face” . John

Hi John, yeah its formalities. 63? ah heck, you've been around long enough to know how all this internet was made. Not much different than AOL ICQ. Same but with a bunch of lipstick and fluff/stuff

It's a security measure more than anything. LOTS of scammers these days. Stick around, ask questions, learn stuff & become part of this "community". The 10 posts of discussion gives buyers/sellers/moderators a sliver to understand if you're a real airgunner and not a scammer. The ten days is to slow down people who want to sign up and make 10 random / junk posts to shortcut into the classifieds.

Just make more posts asking questions about things that interest you in the hobby. An alternative for you if the bottle is sold would be to purchase an 80 dollar fx bottle valve. I think Utah Airguns has them, and then a bottle off eBay or Amazon. I think they can be had for just over 100 dollars. That coupled with a valve would be around 200. Might be cheaper and everything would be brand new for piece of mind.
