EDgun Considering a new purchase of Edgun Leishy2 350mm .22cal- please share your experience with the gun!

Just the shrouds and they have an internal moderator. The barrels and the moderators are different lengths. You can run the 350 moderator on the 250 barrel. The moderator, shroud, silencer (I use these interchangeably) are in an-all-in-one deal that goes over the respective barrel. While I still have two leshiys ... one in .22 and one in .30, I don't want to disassemble to make this more clear for you. But yes, you are over thinking this. Short barrel, short moderator. Long barrel, long moderator. Short barrel can use the longer moderator too.

Recommend you go to youtube and watch some of the videos ... they'll go through various configurations / disassembly. ;)
but inside these black oval shrouds sits the real barrel?
its a barrel and shroud and moderator- all in one??

got it- its a shroud and silencer that goes over the barrel so you can take that shroud down and it will expose the real barrel

and the barrel is the length of that oval black shroud- right?

The barrel is indeed in the shroud. As with any other shroud obviously. As said by @ChickenDumpling , have a look on youtube. I.e. Airbuks has a good one where he changes the standard shroud to a Donny FL one. That way you see how the components work together.

So, did you pick one and spend the $ yet! :)
not yet my friend :ROFLMAO:

i am still waiting on my brand new dreamlite with 600mm barrel- i am new to pcps..

i had till now only weihrauh hw98 4.5mm break barrel (great breaker) and old diana 4.5mm pcp for few hundred euros

so the dreamlite in .30cal is a brand new, i bought the gx pump cs4 and power plenum, donnyfl tanto, vector optics scope, 700mm bottle, fx pocket chrony, pellets and slugs...

so WHEN it finally comes in- i need to learn the gun, all the tunes and so on..

and only THEN i think i should proceed to get the L2... its just too much of a good think all at once

can you tell me please why are the fps so much slower when compared to a dreamline?

i see specs from edgun stating that you get 805fps with a .30cal but the dreamline gest easy around 960fps with that said caliber?

is it because of the barrel length being only 350mm instead of 600mm?

can you make the fps higher then those edgun specs? maybe the specs are moderate tunes and one can crank it up much higher?

i knw you have .22 but what is your highest fps that you got out of it?

edgun specs says .22 will reach 915fps with 18.1gr pellet..

I'm the wrong guy to talk about specifications and tuning. I don't get wrapped up in numbers unless I see something going amiss in my accepted accuracy. The only rifle I played with the settings on was a Huben K1 cranked up, my gosh I thought it was a rim fire or better ... loud and beating the heck out of a frying pan with slugs. Bench type rifles are wasted on me, but these compacts ... oh yeah! I absolutely buy used now, any savings count for my limited income, and the prior owner typically has the rifle well sorted out ( prefer doing business with AN forum members ). Since I'm working well under 50 yards, I'll shoot about anything that will fit in the barrel. If you have the funds to try a few and then sell a few ... absolutely exciting and fun.

and same question for you

edgun specs says thaat you will reach 915fps with 18.1gr pellet with your 350mm barrel..

have you reached higher fps somehow and how much?

@grzech2005 those comparisons make little sense, as it depends on how you tune the gun. The above figures seem to be based on a regulator pressure of 120 bar. When tuning my gun I was able to reach a max speed of 920 fps with 25,4 gr pellets. This was with zero size jets, a regulator pressure of 165 bar and a 350mm barrel. Not a sane tune, but I was trying to find the max. I reduced it after to 870 fps with 0.4 jets and about 145 bar reg.

thanks- you answered my question...

that would be 48fpe/65j for the 25.4gr at 920fps (with "0" jet and reg at 165) which is a whooping 40%! :eek:more then the advertised 34fpe/46j

wow- that is higher then the 30fpe/41j advertised for the dreamline .22cl with 500mm barrel..

so if i get the gun i know i can reach your values by using "0" jets and reg at 165 out of the .22cal 350mm model

i want to know what you guys are getting maximum out of your L2 and how you tune to reach these max values before i decide to buy it..

well, the 'sane' maximum is what I wrote above. Of course you can go above this if you want to make a cannon: install a 800mm fx barrel in .35 at 240 bar reg. I would probably blast a hole in a brick wall, but I don't think that's the way to go 😂

you are reaching 40% over the energy advertised by edgun site- that is insane i would say.. and great.. i want this gun if it makes such power- its better then my dreamline with 500mm barrel

i will start a post asking more members how much they reached with the L2 and which tune they used..

edgun site is probably correct. But they use a 120 bar tune. I use a 165 bar setting. That's not the same, and obviously gives different pellet speeds. You could also summarize is as follows: Leshiy 2 provides more power then you would probably use in practice. so I wouldn't worry about it.

now you made it that much harder for me because i am thinking of returning my new dreamline .30cal and just getting the L2 before i even open the package- that way the seller must accept the return..

i think i made a mistake but i never heard of L2 till now..

i believe it will be better for me to get the L2 in .22cal because the German seller has them only in .22 and .177 and just get a .30cal barrel extra to sling the bigger caliber like i wanted with my dreamline..

but by the L2 all you have to do is swap the barrel where by the dreamline i need to swap the barrel and the probe and sometimes the hammer..

seems like the L2 platform is much easier to change calibers then the fx dreamline is plus the hammerless system is just genius!

what do you think- return the dreamline and just get the L2?
