What I get out of that is a simple, but difficult truth for many to swallow. The world, and humanity can never be viewed accurately through a lense obscured by our phobias or black and white thinking. By definition it's maladaptive, and nothing other than the building blocks every flavor of bigotry are built apon. I.E. it's lazy thinking that needs changing. Hate is unadulterated weakness, pure and simple. People of every niche or people group deserve better than to have phobias projected on them because one can't be bothered to put some effort into understanding something they are usually grossly mistaken about in their assumptions. This wasn't what I expected to be talking about here, but it's relevant and a topic worth some effort.

The statute for possessing firearms is 18 USC 922 g 1... It states that anyone who has been convicted of a felony or crime where you can be incarcerated a year or more cannot possess a firearm manufactured after 1888 that accepts centerfire or rimfire cartridges.... Meaning, I'm not a lawyer so don't quote me on this, that it has to accept a cartridge either centerfire or rimfire that causes combustion or an explosion to propel the projectile. So in simple terms if it does not accept ammunition either centerfire or rimfire, then it is not considered a firearm. That would be my understanding. If it was intended to encompass air guns, air rifles, air pistols etc, then it would specifically say so. I'm only sharing this knowledge because I was charged with felon in possession of a firearm for possessing a .357 Magnum....
