I made these out of some concrete cutting discs that were given to me and also some 2x6's frames. The rectangles were cut out of the disc with a metal grinder into the middle of those discs in different sizes for different distances getting bigger the farther out the targets are placed from 60Y to 100Y. I drilled small holes on the top of the 2x6 to suspend from bailing wire a thin angle iron which allows for a short duration donggg noise when hit and this is easily distinguishable from a face plate hit which makes a thud sound.
I use these to practice for XFT matches.

The 50Y target is a quadrant target which I won at a raffle.

A friend gave me the discs so the targets were almost free since it was stuff I had hanging around collecting dust.

The Action Armor Quadrant and resettable kill zone targets are my favorite. Shoot the KZ, shoot the paddle below to reset the KZ. 👍🏻

Also my and several other shooters I know favorite target.easy to see where t
You are hitting to make adjustments, durable , easy to spray paint over and easy to set up.
Worth the purchase price.oh ya it will stand up to darn bear hurricane force winds

Whats the coolest target you have for back yard plinking.

I was thinking a spinner made with a small brass bell on both ends?

Or a wind chime with a nice thick hitting disk.
Go to goodwill and purchase the stainless steel lids , pans, platters and plates, again in stainless, hang these up at distances according to size, they really have a nice ring when hitting and last forever, if you don't go bigger than 25cal. Used dull circular saw blades come in second. The price is right for all of these.

Yeah ive gone to goodwill and bought some spoons and made spoon spinners. I like the small brass bells the best but not nearly as easy to find cheaply. I was also thinking of windchime with a small plate to hit.

I have a lot of steel targets. But these 1/10 scale rams are my favorite. Step out the back door and shoot them almost every day. I love to see them fly through the scope. Lazy guy I even have a magnet on a rod there to pick them up off the ground.View attachment 339232
A real lazy man would figure out how to right them back up with having to walk all the way out there. That looks awesome though Looks like fun. How far out are you shooting these?
