Corbin is now selling .218 rebated boat tail slugs

For all of you longer range .22 caliber slug shooters, Corbin is offering and selling .218 sized rebated boat tail slugs in 28 and 34 grains. It comes to $0.13 each which isn't comparatively cheap to a strait walled slug, but may fly exceptional with the right barrel and tune.

Would it be safe to assume that the 28gr bt would have a deep hollow cavity given it's length?

If you expand the picture that is very clearly a hollow point slug.
Yes, it is definitely a hollow point slug. But how deep the cavitiy sits relative to the tail and it's overall length is what is being questioned. A deep hollow point will add length to gain flight stability and to better keep the center of gravity centered along the length so it tips over flight apex smoothly.

I'd be worried that the angle the air has to turn through to follow the boat tail is too great, it looks to be about 15 degrees from the pictures. If the air is not following the boat tail, it will not give the expected reduction in drag. There will be a small increase in BC due to the increased sectional density from the mass of the boat tail, but little or no change in form factor.
