Corbin Press (Slugs/Pellets made)

Hello guys,
I have preordered Corbin press from David last week.
Looking to purchased some slugs in .25 and 22 cal and pellets made by Corbin press. Please let me know if anyone can help. Trying to clarify the dies that I want to order. I am not trying to make Amo for sale - Just looking to have more fun making it by myself (so I will not be competing with anyone).

I just got the dies to make Hollow o give (FX hybrids) and standard hollow point for .250 and .217 (for .22... Because he has those .217 dies in stock in the specials section. No bleed hole but they work fine. Just a little more setup).

I might add a .218 die in the future. Just depends on how my panthera shoots the .217

Hi,
Thank you for replying.
Is your .250 is actually .250 or .249? How is .250 doing on FX and what grain? I found the setup that I like for my Maverick its .36 grain in .249 soft lead and on my Cricket (960 fps on both guns). Also .34 grain (same kind of slug ) perfectly works on my EdGun R3M long.

Can I please buy some samples from you? on .25 and .22 - for my Leshiy 1.

People (including manufacturers) have lives, relationships, children, health problems, etc. Every quality item we want to buy isn’t going to come instantly or be shipped at lightening speed. The wait for these presses has been long for some time now and there are reasons for it.
We are not complaining - at least - I wasn't.. Sorry if you took it that way.

The Wildfires in Oregon also slowed his production down!
Also Covid s also taking it toll on his machining staff!!
But I did get my setup before the Market Exploded on him!!

It is a .250 die

The Impact m3 with the superior standard liked 33.5g at 980fps.

Currently I'm switching to a 46g with the superior heavy liner. At 910fps the groups at my home range are looking promising. Going to add a slug kit and tune it at max adjustment for 1020fps and find where between 900 and 1020 it groups the best. Just haven't had a lot of time lately to tinker.

I'm shooting dish backed slugs

Hate to necro a dead thread here but I'd think twice before ordering anything else from them. I've been waiting a year and half for my order to be completed. They shipped me the press and accessories within a few months of the order being placed but a year and a half later I still don't have dies. Contacted them at the six month mark and got a we're working on it please be patient. Contacted them at the 12 month mark and got a rather terse reply that they are still working on it and don't bother them. At 18 months, still waiting and well beyond displeased.

Looked back at that last email. As of Jan 2nd this year they were just completing die orders from July of 2021. I even asked them if there was another similar 25 cal die that could be substituted for what I ordered, didn't even bother to respond to that in their reply.

Well NOT to beat a old dog....
Dave Corbin will alway be my go to guy for bullet/slug swaging...
He is working his 3 die Makers as much as he can...
The orders are filled in the order as they are placed.
The only exception is if the next order is a popular item.. Dave will make several set to put on the shelves.
Or if the next order to be machined, happens to be the same as any of the other orders in the queue.
Dave will machine those orders at the same time to save setup time....

Well the .250 3 die set with additional seat and point forming punches, that I ordered in Sept. is on it's way!
I only had to Call to talk to Dave to ADD something my order(Proper sized lead-wire and cutter dies )

Yes my .250 is on the way as well ! Still being patient on my .452 (last oct. order)
Well there you go......
He started on the .25 dies.... and filled all the existing orders in the queue.
Also like I said above... Dave will probably make several extra sets of .25 dies to put on the shelves...
So If any needs a set.... Time to give Dave Corbin a Call...
At this time, they don't last Long!!!
Good Luck....

I used Dave’s sewage dies to make empty 22 lr empties into 55 grain 223 ammo for decades. When I first bought the set, I told myself if they would do 3 inches at a 100 yards, they would be perfect for off hand practice, instead they did 1/2 inch. I won the Oregon Practical Rifle title Championship in 81 using those bullets and killed many of the coyotes in this picture with those bullets Theywere explosive inside a coyote and seldom exited.
