Has anyone here tried these in .30 im thinking bout getting the corbin press and thinking the x punch slugs would be awesome in 60ish or so grains

Try searching for “Corbin x-punch”threads and posts by @ndwind and @woogie_man. Not sure they’re making them in .30 caliber though.

@imtriggerhappy They’re the first that came to mind. Let us see if anyone else is trying them out. I’m curious as to what sort of range you can get out of them in .30 caliber. Which gun you looking to pair them with ?

I have the X punch for .218 slugs. It is devastingly Awsome!!! I belive Kelly at Corbin told me they make them as needed not a stocking item. I might be the only one that has it for.218 . In a 30 I bet it would be impressive. @woogie_man did a post awhile back with pics where we shot it into a block of clay. Holy crap a picture is worth a thousand words! Unfortunatly ND winter has arrived and we havnt used it on pests yet. I am thinking of ordering one for .250 as I also swage those.

Im shooting out of my FX DRS PRO they shoot great out 100 yds all the further iv shoot them so far. Hope to go beyond that next spring for gophers and prarrie dogs.

Yeah we are playing with 22 caliber slugs.
Winter is here and it is frigging cold! Will be playing more with the hollow ogive and rebate boat tail to see what happens. Will be playing in the HM1000x...though hoping to soon have a 22 barrel for the Ghost as well.

A press is the way to go to easily dial in a real accurate hunting slug. Buy those die sets from.Corbins a thousandth of an inch or two bigger than exactly .300" (so .301" .3015" .302") This way they can be easily sized down to fit that barrel's accuracy or even to fit multiple .30 caliber barrels. Most 30 caliber barrels are made right around .300" which makes the standard .300" die slug a sloppy fit for accuracy and potentially a waist of money.
Edit to add: Yes, Corbin will make you an X-Punch for your intended or existing die set. These X-Punch's are made to order and not an "off the shelf" item.
