Went out today with NDwind and did some shooting to get our new Zulus scopes working. But while there we were also testing the Corbin X-Punch slugs. These slugs were made in a 218 die set and with a weight of 30 grains. The test rifle was my RAW HM1000X shooting these slugs at 940 fps. The accuracy has been quite good with them and they have proven a good shot.
At 50 yards we set up a block of clay. This was picked up from Walmart and quite cheap. When shot the "POP" that came from the impact was stunning! The impact took the top of the clay off and tossed chunks quite a bit away.
I do have a video of the impact, but am having issues with my computer. Have to update a few things to get things processing correctly. I will say watching the video from the scope camera is awesome.
Ok enough babbling ..... on to some pictures. The little pink circle is the slug. The slugs were painted using a guide from 68 Whiskey and making the slugs look like a tracer.
Over all these slugs are going to make a mess of vermin. Wasn't able to try them this outing as walking around with a 16lb rifle is a pain.
How about that video!!! After a new computer that can handle the software things are good now!
