Could This Be Worth The Risk?

Admittedly it's a knock off. Though sometimes knock offs can be pretty dang good. This is a knock off of a $3000 scope that I'd like to have. But it'll be a cold day in Hades before I spend $3000 on a basic optical scope. Any of y'all tried one of these? Given the price disparity, might it be worth a shot?

I actually got a Vortex knock off without knowing it once. Then it broke and I called Vortex. Send it in for warranty repair. They called me, letting me know it was a knock off and they have a big problem with this happening.

Offered me 2 options, they would return it to me (not fixed obviously), or they could "destroy it" and offer me a one time 50% off a new scope. So of course I got a real Crossfire II this time, and in 6-24x magnification, 50% off. Let me tell you -- Night and Day difference between the knock off and the real Vortex.

I guess what you're looking at is more of a "knock off" than a straight up counterfeit piece of garbage like I got. At least it doesn't have Vortex logos on it to make it look like a real one (edit: yup, it does lol), but why use Vortex in the name? Probably copyright infringement going on. Why not get a legit scope? You may be surprised at the quality you can get for under $400 and then you won't have to explain that your scope isn't a real Vortex.

Oh I have some really good $400+ scopes. I love my Monstrums, and Arkens, though the Arkens are better in my opinion. I guess my thought process was. "If a $340 dollar knock off, of a $3000 scope is even half as good, one might still come out money ahead"? Though probably not. Doubtful I'll buy this. But I was looking for people's feedback on knock offs vs the real deal, and if they've ever been pleasantly surprised.
