N/A Could use some help on deciding which pcp

I am wanting to get into the pcp game. Most of my experience with air guns has been with springers. My favorite to date is a Beeman R1 in .22 which has been tuned by Paul Watts.
I am wanting to up my game and get something flatter shooting.
There are so many good pcp guns out there that it’s hard to decide which one to get.
I am looking for something that shoots accurately to 100 yards or more. I will use it for hunting birds and small varmints. Nothing bigger than possibly a raccoon off my deer feeder. With that said, it will mostly be shot at targets for fun. I live on 30 acres, so I have the room to shoot longer distances without worrying about it being “back yard friendly”.
I don’t want (at least for now) anything that requires constant tuning. I think I want something that can shoot pellets and slugs, but probably will stick to whatever the gun shoots the best with.
I had thought that I had narrowed my search down to the Uragan 2 in .22. Then I found out today that Taipan now makes a forward side lever model in the veteran and tactical model.
I will be purchasing a compressor as well.
Can you experts help a newbie to the pcp game make a decision on which route to go?

Buy a Vulcan 3 700 mm in .25 Cal.

It will shoot perfectly both, pellets and slugs and has the accuracy and power you need.

No need to be tunning anything.

Super solid and reliable.

Another alternative for pellets only is a Wolverine HP in .25 Cal. Out of the box will be accurate, powerful and reliable.... And beautiful. If you go for a Wolverine, ask the bottle to be changed for a 700 cc one. It will give you more shots per fill.

If you want more power and less wind effect, go for any of the above in .30 Cal (if you choose the wolverine HP in .30 Cal it is very important that you choose the NON regulated one).

The Uragan is a super rifle, but Uragan 2 has a balanced valve that can give trouble. Everything is easier in Vulcan 3.

If you would like a semi auto, then the Sidewinder has it all: power, accuracy, comfortable to shoulder.... But still with few time on the market to have problems to be identified.

If you buy the Wolverine .30 Cal with the .700 cc bottle, whatever rifle you buy in the future will not be as good as that wolverine. It is a REAL hunting rifle !!!

If you want to shoot above 100 yards it is very important that you buy a scope with a lot of references in the reticle. You need to compensate a lot for shooting at 190 yards. Not all scopes give you enough references in the reticle to shoot at that distance.

Any reason for the Vulcan 3 over the Uragan 2?

Are you wanting a bullpup stocked rifle or a long gun stock? Also. what is your budget? New or pre-owned?

Rubi,
Bought both in .30 (700mm) end of 2022, start of 2023. Grand total $2,630.22 to-my-door from Krale (Netherlands) not counting scopes. Uragan 2 went back under warranty for failed "balanced" valve, after few months, new valve works fine. Both have similar power and fat sound-reducing shrouds. U2 is quieter, smoother action and more accurate with pellets than V3. Both factory designed for slugs, I'm a pellet shooter but decided AVS 61 grain 306 (flat base) slugs for V3, JSB 44.75s for U2. V3 needs depinger, U2 doesn't. Enjoy owning both very much, not one second of buyer's remorse. WM

In order to reduce the ping at shot I moved the regulator of my Vulcan 3 .30 Cal to the rear of the plenum. It still gives me 120 fpe. Already took a white tailed deer and a wild turkey with it.

You might also want to check out FX Royale (.22 or .25) that require NOTHING except the JSB 18.1 gr or 25.39 gr pellets they were designed around. Simple, quiet, smooth, stunningly accurate shooters straight out of the box! No tuning, just SHOOT. Daystate Huntsman is another of the same ilk. You can hardly find a negative comment on either of these. Great traditional styling & very, very low maintenance.

You might want to reach out to Derrick @zx10wall He is a master with the rifles you are talking about. He will set up the rifle the way you want it and have it all tested before shipping it out to you.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was reading through some of his threads and it looks like he is only 30 minutes away from where I work. What are the chances of that? LOL.
