Covid is doing my wallet good

There’s virtually zero product in stock to buy. Nearly all new guns I keep seeing posted in the News, Events forum that say “Available Now”, are actually weeks or months away. I’m having trouble meeting my 10K annual airgun expenditure. I hope my wife does not cut my appropriation. In the government if you don’t use it, you lose it.

Wish I had your allowance!

I don’t think the addiction is so much on the Airgun stuff, but more for a package coming in. From tracking the package daily, sometimes three times a day, to when it’s finally in your hands. That’s just phase 1.

On delivery day you catch the mailman drive away, then immediately you’re off running to the mailbox. Your eyes light up when you see the package. Then you grab your favorite knife to carefully cut into the box, etc., etc. Phase 1 completed.

Phase 2 is either installing whatever you bought(part for gun) or just accessorizing the new gun on your Wheeler Best Gun Vice.

I think that’s really what you all crave.....speaking from experience

Same issue here. I have become good friends with my UPS guy, my FedEx guy and my USPS carrier(s). It’s like Christmas in July, sometimes three deliveries a day, all with “stuff”. Even my wife is getting in on it (just not with airguns). The funny thing is, despite all the online shopping, and the airgun/related stuff buying, I am still spending way less than i was pre-Covid! I never really appreciated how much I spent on gas, parking, eating out, movies, and all the Other things that I am not fooling now.

My UPS guy told me that nationwide UPS if having a hiring spree. They’ve opened their doors, needing more employees. So if anyone is needing a job, that’s the place to apply. Benefits are awesome, and the drivers make a great wage. My guy says he’s on average 60 hours a week, more during the holidays. Anything above 40 is OT.

Only one I can’t seem to tie a relationship with is the Fedex person, as they seem to go thru a lot of employees. Since this Covid, I’ve gone thru like 4 different Fedex drivers, each one saying the one before him got fired. Most packages from Airgun vendors come to me via USPS and UPS. The only one that uses Fedex is Utah Airguns, it seems.
