You can get a huben k1 .25 for $1800. Plenty of power and accuracy for lung shots at 100yds. Slightly higher fill pressure, but you don't have to fill it all the way.

Vulcan 3 in 30 cal, AAA slayer in 357. Will do the job nicely. I have no others since my knowledge is limited here.

Also look at a Pantera or Dynamic in 30 or 35, Hatsan Factor BP is another option in 30 or 35. All of those have plenty of energy for coyote.

There's a slayer 357 in the classifieds for $1250. And a bulldog 357 for $550 if you are looking to spend less but you want decent amount of power.

Managed to get a spot on the range today with my aea max 30 cal. Needs a fair holdover at 100 yards. Although the bottle pressure was dwindling at that point in the day.
At 50 yards during mag 1 and 2 this thing shoots lights out with the jsb 44.75
Not sure if the circa 90lb at the muzzle would be enough for a coyote approaching 100 yards but at 50-75 yards you can pick which hair you wanna hit.
Really enjoying this rig so far.

I wouldn't suggest less than a 30cal. My personal choices for easy to get would be:
Bulldog 357 (stock)
Bulldog 357 magnum (stock)
Bulldog 457 (stock)
Pitbull regulated Bulldog 357 (old not magnum) with mild tuning so you can get 10 regulated shots from 4500psi fill
I don't have experience with the Taurus mods, so no advice there.
Why the 357? Look at all the different ammo you can cast, 88grain pellets, 84 grain hollow point, up to about 165 grain bullets. Lee molds are cheap and good, sizing dies cheap, and simple hand held press works. A little lube or powder coat and you are good to go. The 457 might be a little harder for ammo, I only list it because it's a Benjamin in a family I know, it will work out of the box.
Mine is a Pitbull regulated with mild port work, heavy spring, steel charging handle and the Pitbull extended air tube at 4500 psi. I've adjusted it to about 180 foot pounds with Lee round nose cast bullets that drop at 135 grains pure lead (125 grains firearm alloy), just about a 30fpe increase over stock, but this also gives about 210fpe with a Lyman flat point in 155 grains or the 125 grains hollow point back down to that 180fpe (9mm Devastator). All are powder coated to prevent leading in the barrel. I also have a NOE mold for 88gr flat nose to about 84gr hollow point. I haven't worked with these much, but they were going about 120fpe the last time I shot them (before regulator), they should be a pretty fast and flat round for 50 yards. My rifle really likes those Lyman round nose bullets!
You can make the old Bulldog/Pitbull up to the new Magnum power levels, both give you only a few shots per fill. I'm not sure that this 357 platform is really a good choice for 300+ fpe and only 3-4 shots per fill. A little over 200 fpe and 10 shots per fill seems better to me. After that, I'm working on getting my .510 Hammer working the way I think it should. Up to 700 fpe but only 3 regulated shots per fill.
For the cost, find the original Bulldog for around $500 and start there. Tinker a little, figure how to cast your own ammo, etc. I think for coyote it will be enough for an ethical 50 yard kill, maybe 100 yard if you are a better shot than I am. But I worry about energy bleed over distance which is something I need to try and measure in the future.

+1 on the .357 Bulldog. I had Brian Thurman at Veradium Air do a mild tune (120fpe). Shoots 81 gr Hades-120 gr Mr Hollowpoints very well and is definitely coyote capable. If you want more power later, Brian can make it a Taurus-for about $800.

I'm sure you already found your gun by now but what I picked up for coyotes is an AEA terminator in .35 and put a Sightmark wraith 4k on it which I really like other than that it is pretty heavy. It's one to put on a tripod for sure. I like it so much that I wanted another AEA but smaller and lighter so I got the AEA HP Max in .35 as well and put a GOYOJO GS515 on it. The scope isn't as nice as the Sightmark but the gun itself is a lot lighter and with a moderator it's not bad on the hearing. Accuracy is great with both but your best shots are always going to be your first 10 as far as power, they start to drop some after that. I've had them both for a little while now but still have yet to get a coyote in sight. Kind of a strange year for everything really as a few deer just started showing up, not a single turkey which we normally have a dozen or so daily and we have a lot of squirrels. I only shoot nuisance critters so I've been pretty limited to just target shooting but did get one Possum at 75 yards with the HP Max that was a pretty convincing kill shot. Whatever you find or have found, enjoy and be safe!

My choice at your situation is the Bulldog. 357
If a 4500 psi fill was your thing Id recommend the Gauntlet due to the accuracy.
.357 gives you tons of ammo choices.
.380,9mm,.357 and .38 pistol reloads choices and many home casted options.
I have the original Bulldog,enlarged transfer port and extended reservoir and i sling 150 grains in the 240 ft lbs range.
After a carbon fiber barrel sleeve it's 1" or smaller ctc 5 shot groups at 50 yards.
It's a 10-12 shot gun and the long pic rail is awesome for night shooting.
The Gauntlet .30 is my go to but 4500 psi and 1.5" groups at 100 yards woth pellets.
Essentially it's a.22long rifle performance with a lil more bullet drop.
Also the sube $500 price......it's un matched.
Trigger is ok for hunting.

I'd go with the macavity ma2 in .30
Or both the texan and megalodon. I have the .510 texan and .58 megalodon which is way more than what you need but both come in .357
Oh each are under 1800 and any one of mine are possibly for sale

Started out using a FX in .35 for this task, could never get the accuracy that was expected for the cost of that set up, sold it and purchased an air force Texan in .45 and I’m here to say it absolutely puts a coyote in the dirt, drops them like a sack of tators as the saying go, for the money for that kind of hunting roll with the Texan.
