Crap weather, backyard range, pellet testing my new Uragan 2

My U2 .22 700 also favors the 25gr H&N but in .218. I tried a .218 sample pack from Zan and none of them stacks a candle next to the H&N but the .218 23gr javelin are good
I just ordered some Javelins and NSA slugs, so will see how they go when they show up. I have heard/read that some guns tend to favour the .218 slugs. At some point i'd love the increase the velocity and then see how the heavier slugs start grouping. Either way pretty happy so far. Just need to wait for slugs and some good weather.

I am pretty happy with the accuracy on mine. I can hit soda cans at 166yds effortlessly and repeatedly. I haven't tried hitting smaller objects but I know that I could.

Part of me wants to shoot faster but I already get so many shots and the accuracy is so good, whats the point?

Yeah I'd be happy with that too!!
And I agree, as much as I'm keen to see how the bigger slugs perform with some extra speed, I'd prefer to not sacrifice shot count.
Anyway, at 40m the slugs are punching right through my 1 1/2 inch pine board, and then still punching holes through the tin fence 30m behind, so plenty enough stopping power.

I did this today at my 2nd to last permission. My last to shots at a can at 192 yards, took 10 shots to figure out my elevation because it was off due to the weather 😁

Made a bagrider for it.

Works great.

Got to the range today and testen some slugs.

Also have a new bipod.

The POA .217 25 grain performed good at 100 meters.

The two top groups are it. The left one, 5 shots at 16MM CTC. Right one 4 shots a 16MM, Total 5 shots 29MM CTC. Perhaps my fault but still sub MOA.

Use a Carm Single Shot Loader l, works great.

Noticed myself that the distance from trigger tot butpad is a bit to short. I will place a spacer between it.

The trigger is now excellent after adjustments!

@keesbo groups look good mate! I'm hoping for MOA at 100m too when I get the chance. Pretty sure it'll do it.
That bag rider looks neat and simple too, looks great.
I just got a little package of some more ZAN, NSA, Javelin and H&N slugs to try too so will see how that goes.
How did you go with deburring the barrel? any significant increase in accuracy or ammo feeding?

I think a bit better accuracy and I noticed a bit smoother loading.

Still shooting without the shroud, I am in the prosess to make a modification on the shroud.

First I need to do some more testing, also the H&N HP2 25gr slugs.

Will also try to adjust the speed to 295, is now 286. Perhaps it will also improve accuracy.

But I am happy so far.

The trigger is now supurb and also makes a difference ofcourse accury wise.

When you say shroud, do you think the air stripper is causing issues? I believe that's what a previous post mentioned.

That looks like a questionable shot with that building behind your POI. I sure hope it was unoccupied?
Look sketchy from the picture. Behind that tree line, there is a wire fence behind that wire fence, there is a concrete wall and behind that concrete wall is that old maintenance building that's another 200yds out, no one uses it anymore.

@keesbo
With such a solid front rest have you thought about making a height adjustable rear leg? Looks solid.
Looking like a benchrest gun
I want to use the Uragan for the 100 meter competition over here, and a monopod for the back is not allowed.

There for the bagrider, a bag is also not allowed but I use it to rest on my hand.
