Yeah, probably don't want to go any lower. I did some experimenting over the last couple of days. I went as low as .002 under groove diameter. Though velocity went up as I sized smaller, the velocity spread increased by a lot.

Great post. Thanks for answering the questions I had about your design. You might not have invented the balance valve, but you sure created an incredable design for this particular platform. Bobs vast knowleage with math fomulas he has put out there for us to use was a big help too.
You said it was a lot of work but worth it. After making one like your design I would agree, now that I'm at the worth it phase.
I doubt most of us could really appreciate what you've achieved. Huge power gains with some very small components of the right types of materials.
