Cricket Bullpup Trigger - How good can it be made with modifications?

You can adjust the Cricket trigger to be a match trigger or a hunting trigger,
My mutant came pretty well like I like it two stage and light,
My Cricket 22 came with a hair target trigger, I had to adjust it to be a little light , Not hair trigger,
I have never heard anyone with a Cricket that wanted a better trigger,
That's like saying I want my gun to shoot better than one hole groups, WHAT?
Do not fall victim to the bullpup triggers and short barrels B/S talk.

My Cricket bullpup trigger is okay at best compared to the Cricket rifle, It doesnt come close to the Airwolf trigger. My guess is everyone has a different opinion on what a good trigger is. From what I have read and heard the Mutant has a much better trigger. Not happy with mine so I will call for an appointment with the bullpup whisper or AZ this winter.

Mike thanks for the advice I will try not to fall victim to the short barrel and B/S trigger talk : )

The Cricket's trigger can actually be adjusted to be a match trigger, if your defintion of a match trigger includes one that breaks at the ounces and not pounds. If you are okay with the slight sideways slop, the trigger can be set to break as crisp as glass if you take the time to adjust the second stage leaf spring. I recommend you watch Ernest Rowe's video to learn how to do this if you're a first-timer.

Here are Ernest's videos on how to adjust the Cricket's trigger:

Ernest adjusted my Cricket's trigger to the point where there is little to no travel and and the weight is good for hunting. When I first received it, the trigger was so light that it was unsafe (it fired when I cocked it sometimes) and there was a lot of travel. There is plenty of adjustability in the weight and rod length but it will never feel the same as a non-bullpup trigger.

The Mutant's trigger feels noticeably better to me but it needs to be as that thing is so light that any excess trigger travel or weight would throw off my shot.

The Airwolf uses an electronic trigger. If that mouse-click type feeling is what you prefer then that can be achieved with any air gun. You just need to replace the trigger linkage rod with a mini electric solenoid. They are cheap and easily available. The advantage of using electronics is that you don't have to feel the trigger mechanics so it doesn't matter if they are smooth or not. The synthetic a Cricket stock has room for the solenoid without much modification (in the trigger well at the back).
