Hi .. Does the installation of a plenum require the use of teflon tape or the oring is enough...? Also without touching the reg what kind of performance bump I could expect..?

No Teflon tape, just the o-ring.
I gained about 30 fps on max power in my .25 cricket carbine with the 34s.
You also have to raise the regulator to 130-135 bar to close the valve quickly.
It just did't seem to work for me on low regulator pressures. Air consumption was sky high.
