Has anyone removed the butt pad [including the plastic piece] from the wood section with success. It appears to be glued down or they had it attached when they put the finish on the stock. TIA

It is lightly glued. I carefully removed it with a sharp edged blade. It isn’t bonded for life just take your time, it came off pretty easily. It’s the screws that really hold it on.

After I posted I went back out to the shop and messed with it more and was able to pry it off with a small screwdriver. I'm working on the stock (oak one). This is a test drive before I work on my laminate stocks. I'm building a bag rider for both of my guns in which the screws will hold it along with the butt pad. Mine was glued strong, seems that the screws on one of my laminate stocks had glue on them also. I'm in the process of finding longer screws maybe about 3/16" longer as it's getting close to the stock retainer bolt screw hole. Thanks JoeWillie
