Tuning Crosman 105

Hello all

I'm new here, so I'm sorry if this is an old topic that I'm recycling. I just recently purchased a vintage Crosman 105 through online auction and am wondering if anyone out there has attempted upgrading the valve with a more modern one? I've been upgrading and repairing my own crosman pumpers since I was a kid (Pumpmasters and 13xx's) but I've never owned, or worked on anything this old. Haven't found much about the pistol online, cept a 2 part forum on disassembly.. hoping someone out there has done a little tinkering with one of these beautiful old pistols and can point me in the right direction 😁

Not sure about upgrading but my suggestion would be to enjoy it for what it is. They are beautiful pistols, I had one that had been totally restored and it just had such a classic look.

The weak point with them is the brass cocking handle. Many of them are tweak on the curved portion simply from pumping them.

Will probably do just that.. unless there's a problem with the gun later anyway. The 105 is definitely a classic beauty and I would never do anything to change it outwardly. Wouldn't mind a sure way to get a little better performance from her (from what I've read, they run in the 250-300 fps range) but it's not a deal breaker if I don't. Thanks for the advice wildcj5 👍
