N/A Crosman 1720T Pistol or Carbine?

Crosman 1720T
R.A.I. Buttstock Adapter with Magpul adjustable buttstock.
Grip Set and Forearm by Steve Corcoran Stocks and Grips.

Giant air pistol or perfect size carbine?
I’m not a competitive air pistol shooter so I didn’t mind adding a buttstock for some back yard fun.
Now I can’t imagine taking the buttstock off.
The only problem is that the back yard isn’t big enough to make it challenging. lol

How did you get Steve's work? Been trying to get one for a P-rod. I didn't think I would like the blue but it works, epic

Hey,
Thanks!
Blue was not my first choice but it was available and it has definitely grown on me. I think Steve does great work! I actually didn’t really warm up to the 1720T until it got Steve’s grips and forearm.
He sells his pre-made grips and stocks on his website.

Why not both? I try keep a carbine stock for all of my pistols. No luck with my ranchero yet. Too swamped with life in general to make a stock for it yet.
Lol. Yes!
The buttstock adapter is easy to install or remove but I’m just enjoying it as a carbine at the moment.
It’s so accurate and I am not, with a pistole, that I kinda have to use it as a carbine with a scope to appreciate it's accuracy.

Shooting a pistol well is mostly about hold. Well, that and trigger control. Where to hold your hands and how. Air pistols are a bit different, though. Each one has it's own character. Primarilly defined by the action of the hammer (or piston for some) just before the gun fires. Practice enough, and you'll get the hang. Do some research as well and try out different techniques. I learned a while back that moderator weight/size, as well as optic weight and positioning can help balance a pistol out if utilized properly. This can stabilize the gun during the shot cycle/trigger break. Trigger over-travel stop can help as well if you can adjust break/take-up, and over-travel to be very small. Coupled with a light break. Any of these have potential to destabilize the gun. Your trigger group is one of the best you can get. And does have an over-travel stop.

I like both because the stock clearly has a stability advantage, but shooting without is good practice, and a good challenge.
