Crosman Crosman 2240 Safety ball and spring.

Just want to create a thread to get information us 2240 and similar platform need.

The spring is 2.2 mm x 7.7 mm. It’s easy to let it protrude and cut it to length, but it’s also possible to replace it by just taking off the trigger group cover. A little finesse is needed, but it’s possible. A bic lighter spring will work.

The long spring is fresh out of a Bic

And a link to 3/32" ball bearings. I have 100 pack, PM me and I will mail you one if you need it.

Have used the springs from lighters and pens for many applications.

there is a way to help keep the ball and spring from flying out and it is simple, add some grease
the grease has more hold than the spring has sprung energy
the springs can be found on Ebay as with the bearing balls
if you have 2-2.5-3mm bearing balls on hand you will stop looking for the one on the floor
