Crosman 338 with barrel extended

My recent project was a Crosman 338. I extended the barrel to match the P38 artillery used by some Pilots, Messaggers and Elites during WW11. pic #1 is the Crosman 338 and the 338 with a extended barrel. Pic #2 for comparison is a P38 and P38 artillery

I've never heard of an "artillery" P.38 and a quick google search turned up nothing. References? 

Maybe the late gunsmith John Martz made a couple long-barrel P.38s? He did some interesting things.
