Purchased the .177 and I'm looking at the lower tube and etched on the tube is "Model P1322 .22 cal". I'm assuming the tube is used for both the .177 and .22? I've shot it with no problem using .177 pellets, wouldn't a .177 pellet be too small for the .22?

I believe everything's the same except the barrel and probe. Hadn't noticed not even bothered to really pay any attantion to that stamping on my 1377 but mines a little old.

Or they ran out of .177 stamped tubes. A .177 pellet would be horrible out of a .22 barrel. probably would tumbled out the end and fall 10 feet away.
