Crosman Challenger, Is the barrel weight removable?

Yes it is removable. Want one ? Have a couple laying around.

Removing the front globe mount Will shorten the gun up by 4 1/2 inches.
It’s not so much weight as it is just amount for the diopters sights.

Looks like you already got your answer. I haven’t tested mine for accuracy without the front sight mount as I’ve only shot the rifle using the open sights. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
