May be a silly question, but anybody have any idea why the crosman domed pellets are so much more than the hollow points? Less lead usage? Seems like they weigh the same but the domed pellets are nearly twice the price. That or I’m just not lookin in the right places.

No idea why but keep an eye on them they fluctuate in price, I stock up when they hit $6.24 or so.

My guns prefer the hollow points over the domed so I got that going for me.
If they're double the price I would try to find a more premium pellet closer to that price. I won't pay more than 10 bucks for a tin of crosmans, and that's if I can't get them at Walmart for under 7 bucks.

I have never seen the Crosman 22 cal domed pellets priced even close to $6.24 / 500. Where did you find that price in the past or were you referring to smaller quantity tins? With a quick check the best i have seen is $13.xx / 500.
EDIT -- The $7.74 was for .177 CPHP which you would think would be less than the 22 cal.Also, it appears there has been a price increase since my last order of 500 count 22 Cal CPHPs. I paid $6.24 delivered in August. Walmart and Amazon are both showing $7.74 / 500.

Maybe that’s just pure inflation? I’m just puzzled why the domes are more when they weigh the same. Might have to just look harder for better pricing on the domes

i am in illinois & can not find them in 5 different W/Mart in a 60 mile radius , can not order the thru them either

I used to be able to buy the Crosman Premier Domes at the Tractor Supply Store for $8.99 per tin. They haven’t had them in stock in over a year. I can still get the CPHPs at Walmart for under $7 USD.

I've tried 4 WM in my area and they are all OOS. Even when their website says those stores have them and I ask one of their super courteous employees to go check for me

theyre alot more accurate and they know it ... they also know that most people are sold on the hype of 'big mean ole pewwets' and will buy hp's most the time so make alot more of them ...

My experience has been that the domes tend to be more consistent with fewer flyers, which might be why they charge more. I suspect that it may have to do with the fact that the dimple for the hollow point needs to be properly centered otherwise I would think that it would have a wobble to it. Given the price differential between the two I am ok with a few more flyers here and there.

I had to end up buying mine from PA last time, but the free 4th tin offsets the cost and I was ordering over 150 so got the fresh shipping.
Otherwise it's a crap shoot if you'll find them in stock or not at Walmart.

I’ve gotten the domes from the great Amazonia on sale under $7 a tin. Crosman pellets are the only pellets I’ll order from there, as even they haven’t managed to destroy them with shipping.
