Hi all, I'm new here and have been shooting air guns for years. I was curious if anyone on the site knows the max range of either the DPMS SBR or the Sig MCX? I haven't been able to find anything listed on the manufacturer's website or anywhere else online. Thanks in advance for any info.

TIN CAN? HA! My Sig MCX can barely penetrate an aluminum soda can at 15 feet. It does not have anywhere near the FPS that Sig advertises.
The high price of the 88 gram CO2 cartridges takes some of the joy out of it. I have a converter that uses 2 12 gram ones but it doesn't work near as good.
That said it is fun to shoot up to 20 yds. It likes the lighter wadcutter pellets the best and hates the domed ones. And if looks could kill it would be an elephant gun.

I have the dpms, it shoots in the low mid 400fps. 40-50 foot is good, I used it at that distance out back at work on a 50 foot range. 75 feet here at the house is pushing it.
