Crosman Crosman F4 that's rated up to 695fps?

Got one, pretty sure 695 is lead, lead-free numbers are often printed on box to catch attention, 1100, 1200, or similar. No moderator on mine but entire barrel has a squarish, thick plastic cover. WM
Thanks for the reply. I picked it up last night. It has "moderator" about 10"long on it. Made a bushing, on my lathe, for the trigger. Removed the lawyer spring and installed a longer trigger adjustment screw. It has a sweet trigger now. I hesitate to say it but almost as good as the record triggers on my HW50 and 97. Was surprised that the 4x scope is made out of plastic. The only marking is "made in China" but is actually fairly clear. I will replaced it with a Hawke in the near future. For 97.00, out the door, it looks good. Soon as this rain stops here, will see how it shoots. Don

The plastic cover is 16 inches long, from muzzle to break, not moderator, nice for gripping. Paid $80 for mine few years back, 4x CenterPoint (junk) scope had to go, found $50 barely used CenterPoint 3-9x40 AO on eBay, big improvement. Did Crosman trigger mod from YouTube video featuring 8mm RC car wheel bearing, waved goodbye to lawyer spring, too. Searching for ammo picked up some Rabbit Magnum II slugs, label said, "For PCP rifles only," what's a PCP rifle? Swoosh, right down the rabbit hole I went! Wish I shot F4 more often, PCPs keep me busy, nice being able to talk with other F4 folks, though, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. WM

A friend of mine bought one of the Crosman "Fire" variants last year. Seemed reasonably accurate OOTB, but the trigger felt like a single stage and was very looong and very creepy. Did your longer trigger screw improve the trigger pull that much? I understand a GRT trigger blade will fit so might be a good option for $40 and a longer screw.

Idk... Maybe ask crosman support on what's up on that..

Walmart will be deafear on it all gun sales final now ( here at least) no store returns.

But contact crossm show then the sales page and how you feel duped and want the right gun ..

My Walmart page.

But now another guy has a f4 post here and looking at things some claim that 695 one they really like. Maybe offers better pellet control where the 1200 lots a flyers ?

If it shoots pretty nice. Probably would not bother me at all in the end ..

I don't feel duped. I knew is was up to 695fps, it's written on the box. I was just wanting info from people that have a Crosman F4 that is rated up to 695fps. Don

I doubt my trigger could get any better with the Grt trigger. It rivals my record trigger on my Hw50 and 97. Took lawyer spring out, made a 5mmx8mmx2.5mm aluminum spacer on my lathe and installed a 3mmx 10mm screw in trigger. Cost 0. Don

I am very confused by the plethora of different responses. Before buying the gun, I fired it. It is definitely over 1000 fps.

I will fire it tomorrow at different ranges. I will fire some generic bullets that came with the gun. And then some target rounds I got at Wallymart.
As Hateful McNasty said, the claims of over 1000fps is with very light alloy pellets. A advertising gimmick as most alloy pellets shoot bad and guns go super sonic with them. Just a fyi, airguns shoot pellets or slugs. Bullets are fired by firearms, Don
